This cycling route takes you past the many windmills, green meadows, polders and typical dike villages of the Alblasserwaard. Along the way you will become acquainted with the way in which the Netherlands deals with water, for example the impressive windmills of Kinderdijk World Heritage. The 19 windmills of Kinderdijk symbolize the way in which the Netherlands deals with water. Here you will discover how the area has been kept dry since the Middle Ages.
