Description
This cycling route takes you past the many windmills, green meadows, polders, and typical dike villages of the Alblasserwaard region. Along the way, you'll learn about how the Netherlands manages water, for example, the impressive windmills of the Kinderdijk World Heritage Site. The 19 windmills of Kinderdijk symbolize the way the Netherlands manages water. Here, you'll discover how the area has been kept dry since the Middle Ages.
