Woensdrecht, North Brabant, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 114730
Provided by: route.nl
The starting point of this route is Hoogerheide. It owes its name to its location on the Brabantse Wal, a sandy plateau that extends all the way to the Belgian border. As you cycle, you'll be treated to a vastly varying landscape. The most striking feature of the Brabantse Wal landscape is its escarpment: an abrupt transition from the higher sandy soils to the lower-lying sea clay polders. This escarpment winds from Ossendrecht past Hoogerheide, Woensdrecht, Bergen op Zoom, and Halsteren to Steenbergen. Rolling landscapes suddenly rise above Woensdrecht and gradually transition into polder areas. Towards the end of the route, you'll cycle past Het Raedthuys, an authentic bistro with a cozy, homey atmosphere. Prepare to be surprised and enjoy the delicious snacks.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
