Cycling in Woensdrecht, North Brabant, The Netherlands
Cycling route 114730
Provided by: route.nl
The starting point of this route is Hoogerheide. It owes its name to the fact that it is located on the Brabantse Wal. The Brabant wall is a sandy plateau. It extends to the Belgian border. You will be treated to widely varying landscapes while cycling. Most striking in the landscape of the Brabantse Wal is the steep edge: an abrupt transition from the higher sandy soils to the lower clay polders. This steep edge winds from Ossendrecht past Hoogerheide, Woensdrecht, Bergen op Zoom and Halsteren to Steenbergen. Rolling landscapes suddenly rise in height at Woensdrecht and gradually change into a polder area. Towards the end of the route you cycle along Het Radthuys, an authentic bistro with a cozy, homely atmosphere. Be surprised and enjoy the tasty snacks.
