National Park De Loonse en Drunense Duinen consists of the Loonse en Drunense Duinen, De Brand and a few other smaller areas. The drifting sand in this park still has free rein, on such a large scale such drifting sand can no longer be found anywhere else in Europe. You also cycle through fresh-smelling forests with conifers and along streams and marshes. Plenty of natural beauty that you can admire at your leisure from quiet paths. In the middle of the national park you suddenly come across Giersbergen. A hamlet whose history goes back to the Middle Ages. Here you see some beautiful old thatched long-façade farms. In Udenhout you pass castle De Strijdhoeve, a manor house from around 1760.
