Cycling along the most beautiful villages of Drenthe

First you cycle through a natural area to the town of Steenbergen, named after the 'mountain of stones' just outside the village. Dolmen D01 consists of twelve supporting stones, six covering stones and two keystones. It is the northernmost dolmen in Drenthe. Then you cycle further to the esdorp Norg. This village, like many other villages in Drenthe, has a rich history. This village was already mentioned in charters at the beginning of the Middle Ages. It is not known exactly how old it is. You drive through the Bunnerveen to the Esdorp Roden, where you can visit the manor Landhuis Mensinge. You will find a large forest surrounding the manor.
