A tour of Texel

This route starts at Bospaviljoen't Turfveld. Here you are in the middle of De Dennen, the Texel dune forest. Your cycling tour today takes you along the edges of Texel. You also drive through the Duinen van Texel National Park. You will find plenty of variety here between dunes and forests. On the east side of the island you can walk onto the dike to enjoy the panoramic view of the meadows, the Wadden Sea and the mainland. You pass the Het Noorden polder mill and drive through Oudeschild. In this village you will see the De Traanroeier flour mill from 1902 and the Zeemanskerkje from 1650. You drive along the coastline to the picturesque Den Hoorn. Near junction 10 you will see the white church tower of the Reformed Church, a beautiful sight!
