Tour of Renesse and Burgh-Haamstede

This cycling route starts at Holiday Park De Klepperstee, near Ouddorp. From here you drive to the Brouwersdam, completed in 1971, the seventh structure of the Delta Works. You can get a breath of fresh air on the dam. Here you have beautiful views of the North Sea and the Grevelingenmeer. Spotting seals? They like to swim on the sea side of the discharge sluice. Just to be safe, bring binoculars! A little further on you will see Haamstede Castle, a national monument from the thirteenth century. In the ring village of Renesse you cycle along the Lange Reke, the old ring road past the sixteenth-century Jacobuskerk. You cycle back via Slot Moermond, from the thirteenth century. When you return you can have a nice lunch at Bistro Skål.
