Mudflats of Flakkee, Stellendam harbor and Goedereede

Your cycle route starts at the Slikken van Flakkee. From the cycle path you have a beautiful view of this unspoilt nature reserve with its mud flats, thickets and grasslands. You follow the shore of the Grevelingenmeer past Ouddorp. The route leads you further along the Westduinen. Here you see bumpy dunes and wet valleys. During World War II, the Germans used this area as a mock airfield. Nearby you can have lunch in Bistro Skål at Holiday Park De Klepperstee. Goedereede is a surprisingly beautiful monumental town. The striking tower from 1512 is a church tower, but was also used as a lighthouse until 1912. The large village church dates from 1708. At the Haven you see many houses from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. You cycle back to your starting point via the Stellendam harbor.
