Walking through Beesel and surroundings

From the heart of Beesel you can walk straight into the countryside. Nice to clear your head while you walk along the meadows and fields. After a while, the path leads you along the Huilbeek, which is a little further on in the Maas. From the bank you have a beautiful view of Kessel on the other side. You walk a bit through the woods, at junction 83 you pass the Sint-Lambertus chapel from 1845. Before that time, there was a hall church here that was built in the mid-fourteenth century. The Maas boulders that were used for this church can now be seen in the small chapel. You walk back to Beesel through the farmlands. You will pass Nieuwenbroeck Castle, which originally dates from 1560. Then it's time for a terrace at Mert 5.
