Walking through Beesel and surroundings

From the heart of Beesel you can easily walk into the countryside. Nice to clear your head while you walk along the meadows and fields. After a while the path leads you along the Huilbeek, which is a little further on in the Maas. From the bank you have a beautiful view of Kessel on the other side. You walk a bit through the forest, at junction 83 you pass the St. Lambertus Chapel from 1845. Before that, there was a small hall church here that was built in the mid-fourteenth century. The Maas boulders that were used for this church can now be seen in the small chapel. You walk back to Beesel through the fields. Here you will pass Nieuwenbroeck Castle, which originally dates from 1560. Then it's time for a terrace at Mert 5.
