Description
West Friesland is ideally suited for walking. Enjoy the history - still palpable from the VOC period - the beautiful nature and the peace around you. From Zwaag you walk towards Hoorn. Hoorn is known for the number of monuments. Look up at the facade stones of monumental buildings. Until the 18th century, these were used as 'house marks', because house numbers did not yet exist. Once you have discovered the historic streets and the harbor, you will enjoy a bit of nature. Relax completely and enjoy the greenery. Then you walk back towards Zwaag.
