Description
Bauhaus Route
On the occasion of the jubilee year of the Bauhaus, a 17 km long cycle route has been developed along all the Bauhaus buildings of Dessau, the city where this art movement flourished almost 100 years ago. This route is a must for lovers of Bauhaus culture and architecture.
The ring road starts from Dessau station. You cycle past the famous Bauhaus building, the master houses (UNESCO heritage), the Kornhaus along the Elbe and then via the Gropius quarter (named after the founder Walter Gropius) in Dessau-Törten back to the starting point in the heart of Dessau. Because the route is only 17 km long, it can easily be combined with a city trip to Dessau, Wittenberg or Magdeburg.
