Harz Grenzweg
The route runs along the former border between East and West Germany for almost 100 km and follows'hidden border paths\\\'. In the period of the GDR and the FRG, this piece of nature was off limits. This route introduces you to nature, culture and German history in a unique way.
The'Harzer Grenzweg\\\' runs right through the Harz mountains, from the old border tower Rhoden in the north to the Grenzlandmuseum in Bad Sachsa in the south. Along the way you will discover a number of sights; old border posts, memorial stones, various museums and a historic three-country stone complete the walk through German history.
