Annabos, Ulvenhoutse Bos and Mastbos from Dorst

Then you drive through the Sint-Annabos, one of the centuries-old forests that are part of the Barony of Breda. Then you cross the river De Mark. The natural meandering course of the Mark has been restored about 15 years ago, which has improved the fish stock in the Mark. Get off for a moment to enjoy the view from the bridge. The Mastbos dates back to the sixteenth century. You will see stately beech avenues, but also conifers. The forest was managed for hunting and, like the Annabos, for timber yield. Both forests are extremely valuable, like natural museum pieces. You cycle back via the Ulvenhoutse Bos, with its old sessile oaks and beech trees.
