Tour of Helvoirt and Loonse Drunense Duinen

Here you will discover the mixed forests of the Guldenberg: a sand hill that used to be in the swamp here. In order to be allowed to pay this increase, farmers used to have to pay a guilder. A little further on you have a beautiful view of the Iron Man. This recreational lake is named after the steam dredging mill that dug the pit in the nineteenth century. Now it is a nature reserve and you can swim in the beautifully clear water. In the old village center of Helvoirt you will experience the atmosphere of a bygone era. It is a beautiful historic village, with a town hall from 1700 and a fifteenth-century church.
