Cycling through Alblasserdam, Kinderdijk and Maasdam

Your cycling tour starts on the edge of Alblasserdam. You will soon arrive in Kinderdijk. Where a small village can be great! The windmills of Kinderdijk are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The village has 19 windmills, divided into a row of eight mills on the Nederwaard, nine on the Overwaard and another two in the polders of Nieuw-Lekkerland. Dikes, storage reservoirs and modern pumping stations can also be seen in the area. The tour continues through the Waalbos, after which you cross the Oude Maas at Puttershoek. Via Maasdam and Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht you arrive back at your starting point after more than fifty kilometers.
