Tour of Dordrecht via Maasdam

From De Biesbosch National Park you will cycle about fifty kilometers through a patchwork of South Holland polders. There is ample parking in De Biesbosch. You leave in a westerly direction and cycle underneath Dordrecht. You will soon arrive in the Hoeksche Waard. The Hoeksche Waard is a merger of a number of old polders. The St. Elisabeth Flood in 1421 wiped most of the polders off the map. The Oudeland van Strijen was the first to be drained again in 1437. The other polders followed later. After Maasdam you cross the Oude Maas at Puttershoek. You arrive back at your starting point via Zwijndrecht and Dordrecht. Time to relax!
