Description

This cycling route starts with a cup of coffee on the terrace of De Steengraven, in the Chaam forests. The area consists of pine forests with beautiful views of heathlands and fens. You cycle straight through the woods to cozy Alphen. You will also discover the Bels Lijntje, the former railway line between Tilburg and Turnhout that now serves as a cycle path. Baarle-Nassau is a different story, because this is said to be the most remarkable village in the world: 30 pieces of Belgium and the Netherlands that, intertwined, form the village of Baarle. During this special tour you also drive through the Markdal, an open meadow area where you regularly cycle along the Mark river. The Peat Island in the Goudbergven, a little further away, is one of the last pieces of raised bog in the Netherlands!
