Tour around beautiful Loenen

This route takes you through and around Loenen in Gelderland. A beautiful walk through wooded nature and the picturesque village itself. Put on your hiking boots at Camping de Marshoeve. After fresh coffee and a cake you are ready for departure. The first part you walk on the Groenendaalseweg, which is surrounded by trees. After following the road for about a kilometer, you are now walking through the vast deciduous and coniferous forests. The walk continues on unpaved paths. Just before you return to your starting point, you pass Kasteel ter Horst. This is an imposing summer residence from 1577, built by the mayor of Arnhem Wijnand Hackhort (1522-1563). The castle has remained in the possession of the noble family for seven generations. After eleven kilometers you arrive back at the campsite!
