Description
Beautiful route, also suitable for e-bike. There are a few nice coffee shops around the harbor on Marken. Visit the Marken Museum and cycle to the lighthouse'the horse of Marken\\\'.
The cycle path on the dike between Uitdam and the exit to Holysloot is very narrow. You have to be very careful there. Actually, this narrow path is not suitable for racing cyclists. They are bothered by recreational cyclists and vice versa, the recreational cyclist here is really bothered by racing cyclists.
At Holysloot there is a ferry to get to the other side of the Holysloter Die. Then you have to go through the meadow and over a few bicycle bridges. Then to the rural Zuiderwoude, then via the Zeedijk - Monnickendam back to Volendam.
