Description

The first ships sailed through here in 1923. At that moment the water seemed to have already lost its function. Freight traffic came, saw and seemed to conquer. In the 1950s, the canal proved its usefulness for the supply and transit of sand, gravel and coal. Thanks to the growth of inland waterway traffic, it is still busy. You leave the water for what it is and walk into the stream valley of the Reusel. Fens, creeks and forests form the beautiful landscape. After about seven kilometers you will arrive back at your starting point.
