Karstwanderung Sudharz
The name says it all: with this more than 200 kilometer long walk through the Harz you will discover the special karst landscape of the region. The route runs from Sangerhausen to Osterrode in the neighboring state of Lower Saxony and also crosses a part of Thuringia.
Over the centuries, a region has emerged in the south of the Harz whose geological and biological diversity is unique in Europe. This southern part of the Harz is rich in gypsum rock, which makes the route very special. Along the way you will pass interesting sights such as the shaft at Sangerhausen and the caves at Uftrungen.
