Description
Get to know the surroundings of Tholen and Halsteren. Today Tholen is a peninsula, connected to the mainland by dams and dikes. The nature and the relaxed atmosphere in the villages ensure that you completely relax during this route. The route starts at Hotel Tholen. At the start of the route you pass the Tholen War Memorial and from there you walk on to Halsteren. For this you have to cross the Scheldt-Rhine Canal. Halsteren is located on the northern extension of the Brabantse Wal and probably originated as a peat extraction village. After you have walked through the countryside of Halsteren, you return to Tholen.
