Harderwijk is a city full of history. Since 1252 Harderwijk - which once lay on the Zuiderzee - has been a Hanseatic city. It was a coming and going of traders at the time. And now? The traces of this time are still visible. Some buildings from that time are still there and that creates a historic image of the city. You start the walk through Harderwijk at Beach Hotel Monopole, which is located on the edge of the Wolderwijd. Settle down here - before or after the walk - for a cup of coffee and cake, lunch, dinner or drinks. During the walking route you will discover Harderwijk and you will walk past the Old Town Hall Harderwijk, windmill De Hoop and the Harderwijk War Memorial. You walk the last part of the route along the city wall and the Veluwemeer.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
