Around Heldense Bossen and Castle Keverberg

Your cycling route starts with a nice cup of coffee at De Belaeving, drinking & eating near Helden. You'll stop by here again halfway through, perfect for lunch! You continue through the Heldense Bossen to Kessel, on the Maas. With an ice cream in hand from IJssalon Clevers Kessel, walk past Keverberg Castle, a uniquely restored ruin with a beautiful view over the Maas. Then you cycle past the Gruise Epper nature reserve. By the way, that should have been Grieze Upper: gray barren sand, high up. The beautiful green landscape is no longer reminiscent of the barren soil of the past. Further on you pass Waterbloem: a beautiful name for a nature reserve that consists of forest and marshes that are intersected by the Roggelse Beek.
