Walking through the Kasteelse woods

Explore the heart of the land of Peel en Maas in North Limburg during this walk. Put on your hiking boots and explore this varied nature reserve. You start at Parkhotel Horst, which is located in the middle of a wooded area. Beautiful walking and cycling routes cross this area, where Maas villages are interspersed with beautiful nature reserves. While you enjoy a snack or drink - before or after your walk - you have a beautiful panoramic view of the water and the Kasteelse Bossen. During this route you walk through the Kasteelse Bossen, which was originally an estate that belonged to Huys ter Horst. The castle ruins are still a remnant. A little later you walk into the outside area. It is wonderfully quiet walking between the meadows and farms.
