Walking through the Kasteelse woods

Explore the heart of the Peel and Maas country in North Limburg during this walk. Put on your walking shoes and go exploring in this varied nature reserve. You start at Parkhotel Horst, which is located in the middle of a wooded area. Beautiful walking and cycling routes cross this area, alternating Meuse villages with beautiful nature reserves. While you enjoy a snack or drink - before or after your walk - you have a beautiful panoramic view of the water and the Kasteelse Bossen. During this route you walk through the Kasteelse Bossen, which was originally an estate that belonged to Huys ter Horst. The castle ruins are still a remnant. A little later you walk into the countryside. It is wonderfully peaceful here to walk between the meadows and farms.
