Cycling route:

Provided by: Beieren
The cycle route leads on quiet roads through the varied landscape of the pre-Alps in eastern Allgäu. From Nesselwang you go across vast fields to the houses of the hamlet of Hammerschmiede and straight ahead into the wildly romantic Wertachtal. You cycle along the river Wertach until a small bridge, after which a narrow path leads through forest and across fields. You pass the small villages of Bachtel and Wildberg in the direction of Görisried, but before that place you turn off again into the Wertachtal. After a few kilometers you will reach the highlight of the tour, the Hängesteg. You must carry your bike on the descent to the Wertachtal and when crossing the suspension bridge. You then return to Nesselwang via several villages. During the tour, the Schwaltenweiher, Attlesee and Kögelweiher are three wonderful places to cool off and rest. Via Schicken you drive downhill back to the center of Nesselwang.
Get on your bike or go hiking in Bavaria and discover the impressive landscapes and lively cities for which this region is known.
