Description
Cycling with the wind in your hair and enjoying beautiful forests, vast fields and floodplains. During this cycling route you have it all. The first part of the route you explore the Amerongen forests, one of the oldest forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Some Scots pines date from 1770. Extra nice about this route: you take the ferry twice to cross the Nederrijn (check the sailing times before you leave!). Then you cycle past Maurik and Eck en Wiel. Enjoy the beautiful floodplains and the beautiful Dutch landscape. You end the cycling route where you started: Fietscafé de Proloog in Amerongen. Here you can enjoy the route with a nice snack and drink.
