Tour of the Amerongen Forests and Maurik

Your route starts at Hotel & Restaurant Room IV in the village of Maurik. Cycle with the wind in your hair while enjoying beautiful forests, vast fields, and floodplains. This cycling route offers it all. Part of the route takes you through the Amerongse Bossen, one of the oldest forests on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Some Scots pines date back to 1770. An extra fun aspect of this route: you will take the ferry twice to cross the Lower Rhine (be sure to check the sailing times before you leave!). You will also cycle past Eck en Wiel. Enjoy the beautiful floodplains and the lovely Dutch landscape. You finish the route where you started. Here, you can relax and enjoy the route with a nice bite to eat and a drink.
