Tour of the Amerongse forests and Maurik

Cycling with your hair in the wind while enjoying beautiful forests, vast fields and floodplains. You have it all during this cycle route. During the first part of the route you explore the Amerongse forests, one of the oldest forests in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Some Scots pines date from 1770. An extra nice thing about this route: you take the ferry twice to cross the Lower Rhine (check the sailing times before you leave!). Then you cycle past Maurik en Eck en Wiel. Enjoy the beautiful floodplains and the beautiful Dutch landscape. You end the cycle route where you started: Cycling café de Proloog in Amerongen. Here you can enjoy the route with a tasty snack and drink.
