On foot from Heesch through the Maashorst

The Maashorst is a beautiful nature reserve that consists of coniferous forests, heath, streams and sand plains. Large grazers such as Exmoor ponies, taurus and wisents roam the fields. You can spot birds such as the honey buzzard, black woodpecker and hawk in the trees. With a bit of luck you will also come across a group of bison and swallows flying overhead. This ten-kilometer walk takes you from Heesch through this Brabant labyrinth of flora and fauna. You start and end the tour at Brasserie't Oude Raadhuis. A beautiful building dating from 1838 and which once served as the mayor's residence and workplace. Now you can enjoy fresh coffee, a delicious lunch or a drink here before departure or afterwards.
