Will-o'-the-Will Walking Route

During this route you will explore the area around Schorisse, the Brakelbos and Bos ter Rijst. Discover the relief-rich landscape of the Flemish Ardennes. Enjoy the nature and the peace and quiet along the way. The starting point of this route is the Sint-Petruskerk in Schorisse. Once you have crossed the language border, you will end up in the Brakelbos, on the flank of the Mont de Rhode. In the spring, the forest is covered with carpets of wild hyacinths, a beautiful sight! Hikers and nature lovers can indulge themselves on this route! The last part of the route takes you through Bos ter Rijst, an elongated strip with a walking path in the middle. Three hundred years ago, however, this area was part of a densely wooded and extensive forest.
