During this walking route you will explore the relief-rich landscape of the Pays des Collines, with steep valley walls, rolling hills and deeply incised stream valleys. The area through which this route runs is located in the middle of the Flemish Ardennes, a hilly region where you can enjoy walking. The slopes in the Flemish Ardennes are regularly climbed in various cycling races. This sturdy walking route starts in Flobecq at junction 6. You walk through the Pottelberg forest, where numerous animal species live, including the middle spotted spectacle, the buzzard, roe deer and fox. Furthermore, the area is characterised by spring flowers, such as the bluebell. The last part of the route you walk through the varied nature reserve Bos ter Rijst. In the spring, the spring flowers conjure up a colourful carpet.
