Description

MOTHER MAAS AT HER BEAUTIFUL
The international Meuse Cycle Route is a great challenge for the more or less experienced cyclist. This route follows the banks of the Maas River. It starts at the source in the French Vosges on the Langres plateau and runs via Belgium to the Netherlands. From source to mouth, the Meuse Cycle Route is approximately 1,166 km long. This beautiful, varied route offers you a varied landscape with cozy towns and Maas villages on both banks. But there is also plenty to enjoy from start to finish in terms of culture, history and cuisine.

BRABANT
From the Maastricht hilly landscape to Maasbracht, the Maas meanders over shallow gravel banks, fast-flowing and virtually unnavigable. There is no shipping on this route. This goes via the parallel dug Juliana Canal. Via the beautiful North Limburg Maasduinen landscape you pass Den Bosch in North Brabant, one of the most beautiful cities in the Netherlands. A visit to this city is not complete without tasting a Bossche Bol. After the Brabant country where life is good, you reach South Holland.
