Description
This cycling route takes you past Ninove, Aalst and the beautiful nature reserves in between. You will discover the Dender region at its best! The route starts at junction 91 in Ninove, a city with a rich history. The city is located against the Flemish Ardennes, but also against the Green Belt and Pajottenland: the heart of three regions. From Ninove you cycle through the beautiful countryside to Aalst. The last part of the route you cycle along the Dender river, wonderfully relaxing! You cross several beautiful nature reserves and forests. This also applies to Wellemeersen, one of the last flood areas in the Dender Valley. The area has a variety of flora and fauna. Nature lovers can indulge themselves here. You cycle back to Ninove via Denderleeuw.
