Bicycle route Amersfoort, Soest and Lage Vuursche

The route starts at the TOP at Soesterberg Air Base Park. After cycling a few kilometers, you can dismount for a coffee at Restaurant Eethuis De Stoeterij. Next, you ride through the woods to Amersfoort. Here you will still see many monumental buildings, such as the Koppelpoort from 1425. Between junctions 82 and 87, you cycle along the Grebbelinie Dike, which has been made visible again. The Eem flows to your left. This small river is 18 kilometers long and is one of the few rivers that begins and ends on Dutch territory. In Soest, you ride through the picturesque Kerkebuurt; further on, you pass Soestdijk Palace. In Lage Vuursche, you can enjoy a drink on the cozy terrace at De Kastanjehof - Boutique Hotel Restaurant Events. Via the Op Hees nature reserve, you cycle back to the TOP at your leisure.
