Tour of Renesse, beach and Moermond Castle

Your walk starts on the edge of Renesse. From here you first walk along a shady route through the trees to the beach for a nice beach walk. You have a beautiful view of the Brouwersdam, the seventh structure of the Delta Works. If the weather is good, you can also walk this part barefoot through the surf. Stop at Strandpark De Zeeuwse Kust for a cup of coffee at Strand Café DOK. Then you walk to Moermond Castle, originally dating from the thirteenth century. In recent years, the damaged walls of, among other things, the moat have been restored. In Renesse you walk on the Korte Reke, the old ring road of Renesse. Ring villages are typical of Schouwen-Duiveland. Here you will see beautiful monuments, such as the sixteenth-century James Church.
