Tour of Renesse, beach and Moermond Castle

Your walk starts at the edge of Renesse. From here you first walk along a shady route between the trees to the beach for a nice beach walk. You have a beautiful view of the Brouwersdam, the seventh structure of the Delta Works. If the weather is good, you can also walk this part barefoot through the surf. Stop for a moment at Strandpark De Zeeuwse Kust, for a cup of coffee at Strand Café DOK. Then you walk to Slot Moermond, originally dating from the thirteenth century. In recent years, the damaged walls of, among other things, the moat have been restored. In Renesse you walk over the Korte Reke, the old ring of Renesse. Ring villages are typical of Schouwen-Duiveland. You will see beautiful monuments here, such as the sixteenth-century Jacobuskerk.
