Tour of the forest and beach around Renesse and Burgh-Haamstede

Your cycling route starts in Burgh, one half of Burgh-Haamstede. Here you can clearly see that it is a centuries-old ring village. A little further on you dive into the woods of Boswachterij Westenschouwen, beautifully situated just behind the dunes. Along the bird watching boulevard you drive over the dike past the Oosterschelde National Park. Get off at the lookout tower for a beautiful view over the water! Then you cross through small villages to Moermond Castle, originally dating from the thirteenth century. In recent years, the damaged walls of, among other things, the moat have been restored. Stop off for a cup of coffee at Strand Café DOK, part of Strandpark De Zeeuwse Kust. Then you drive past the Vroongronden nature reserve back to Burgh.
