A tour of the forest and beach around Renesse and Burgh-Haamstede

Your cycle route starts in Burgh, one half of Burgh-Haamstede. You can clearly see here that it is an ancient ring village. A little further you dive into the woods of Boswachterij Westenschouwen, beautifully situated just behind the dunes. Along the bird watching boulevard you drive over the dike along the Oosterschelde National Park. Get off at the watchtower for a beautiful view over the water! Then you cross through small villages to Slot Moermond, originally dating from the thirteenth century. In recent years, the damaged walls of, among other things, the moat have been restored. Stop for a cup of coffee at Strand Café DOK, part of Strandpark De Zeeuwse Kust. Then you drive past the Vroongronden nature reserve back to Burgh.
