Get on your bike at Hotel Restaurant De Loenermark. First you drive to the Open Erf-De Groote Modderkolk Visitor Center. The bright red cattle in the deep stable of this farm is a very rare color variant of the 'old' Dutch red and white cow. Just past Loenen you pass Ter Horst Castle, hidden in the woods. Around 1557 Wijnand Hackfort, the then mayor of Arnhem, had his summer and hunting residence built here. The castle remained in this noble family for seven generations. Then you drive via a game screen and the pleasant Brummen to the Loenermark. This is a beautiful area with forests, rolling heathlands and a sheepfold. You can spot numerous animals, such as fallow deer, red deer, roe deer and wild boar.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
