Description
This route runs along the Vlaardingse Vaart.
Along the Vlaardingse canal you will see marshy banks with special vegetation of orchids, peat fluff, small rattles and marsh sedge leaves.
The route continues along the Boonervliet, which together with two other rivers forms the Vlietlanden basin.
Until the 1960s, the Broekpolder was a low-lying polder that was raised in the 1960s and 1970s with silt from the Rotterdam ports. It is one of the few areas in the area that are above NAP. A rough and rugged recreational area has been created on the harbor sludge. Walking through the area you may come face to face with a Scottish Highlander who ensures that the area remains open.

The last part of the route goes through a former production forest that has been converted into a play forest: the Klauterwoud. Here and there you will see playing tips and tricks here and there
