Round Renesse: Vroonplas, Moermond and beach

Your walking route starts on the outskirts of Renesse. From here you walk to the Vroonplas, a recreational area. It is located on the Korte Reke, the old ring road of Renesse. Ring villages are typical of Schouwen-Duiveland. You can see a few beautiful monuments here, such as the sixteenth-century Jacobuskerk. From here you walk further to Slot Moermond, originally dating from the thirteenth century. In recent years, the damaged walls of, among other things, the moat have been restored. Then you continue to the beach for a short beach walk. If the weather is good, you can also walk this part barefoot through the surf!
