Rotkäppchenland Railway Road

The path leads through beautiful meadow falls and forests, under old railway bridges and offers a beautiful view! Without much effort you can easily cycle uphill on the former railway line and reach the highest point of the cycle path at Olberode station. Along the way are small villages and towns such as Neukirchen or Schwalmstadt.

From Schwalmstadt-Treysa to Oberaula-Wahlshausen, the cycle path leads along the route of the former"Knüllwaldbahn\\\" through meadows and forests, villages and half-timbered towns. The section between Schwalmstadt and Neustadt (Hesse) is now complete and well signposted. The rail cycle path Rotkäppchenland now starts in Neustadt (Hesse) and leads to a new cycle path - partly parallel to the main road partly economically - through the Neustadt district of Momberg as in Schwalmstadt-Treysa.
