Walk around Planken Wambuis

Be surprised by the beautiful surroundings of the wild and wide landscape of the Ede and Otterlo area. This route takes you through the Planken Wambuis nature reserve. This more than 2,100 hectare nature reserve is owned by the Natuurmonumenten association. Planken Wambuis is a drifting sand area that is largely covered with heathland and forest. Part of it was reclaimed in the past and used as agricultural land. Along the way you can take a break at Boerderij Mossel, an idyllic tearoom in the middle of nature. You can come here for a cup of coffee with apple pie and a delicious lunch. When the weather is nice you can sit on the terrace, but when the weather is bad you can also sit comfortably in the attractive sheepfold. You can also stay in the farm with large groups of up to 28 people.
