Walking tour of Drunense Duinen

Your walking route starts at Café de Klinkert, a cozy Brabant brown café on the edge of the Loonse and Drunense dunes. The terrace is located in the middle of nature, a nice place to enjoy homemade apple pie. Once you put on your walking shoes, you can walk straight into the Loonse and Drunense Duinen. You explore part of the drifting sand area for which this national park is known. It even owes its nickname of Brabantse Sahara to it. You have unique views from the dune tops. The path also meanders here and there between the conifers. Finally you walk into the Pig Forest. This sub-area with its old oak trees is named after the wild boars that once hid here.
