Tour of Egmond-Binnen via the dunes

This tour leads you through the North Holland dunes around Egmond. You start this cycle route from Herberg Binnen. Egmond-Binnen is a friendly village with small, old houses. The village is surrounded by polders, forests, dunes and a little further away the sea. From the inn you cycle via Heilo and Limmen to Castricum. At Noorddorp you cycle into the North Holland Dune Reserve. This is one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands. The reserve extends from Wijk aan Zee to the Schoorlse Duinen. In total it is about 20 kilometers long and 2.5 km wide. Here you will find dunes, beaches and inner dune edge forests. Park your bike, climb over a dune pan and enjoy the North Holland beach before cycling back to your starting point. End the day at the inn with a delicious drink.
