Here you arrive at the mouth of the IJzer, take a look at the beautiful view from the bridge!

After this you will come across the Kaai: a beautifully redesigned square with 73 fountains and a contemporary tram station.

On Handelskaai you can see the active fish auction. Visits possible on request.

Then we pass the Polar Explorer, a statue in honour of Nieuwpoort native and honorary citizen Dixie Dansercoer.

At junction 84 there is a lookout tower in the water, there you can see the seals lying on the beach on the other side. On the right the Prins Mauritspark, At junction 85 the crossing to the old sea dike through nature reserve De Ijzermonding this is a nature reserve that is unique due to the mixing of fresh iron water and salty sea water. Enjoy the beautiful views before you pass the marina Novus Portus, the largest marina in Europe.

On your right you will find the Albert I monument, a memorial to King Albert I and the heroes of the Yser.

Enjoy some more beautiful views and walk back to the campsite.
