Casa Piccola is a household name in Elburg and the surrounding area. Not infrequently there is a long line of people in front of the small ice cream parlor, which has been located in the fortress of Elburg for more than 40 years. They regularly appear in the media in the TOP10 lists of the best ice cream parlors in the Netherlands. Ice cream is made from natural ingredients of the best quality. Milk from Elburg cows, fruit from local growers and spices from the historic herb garden. All day long there are pans on the stove and it smells wonderfully of vanilla, nuts or herbs. No flavor pastes or other prefab aids are used in this ice cream parlor, which makes them unique. Ingredients such as mascarpone and limoncello are simply made in our own kitchen, so that freshness and quality are always guaranteed. A visit to this ice cream parlor should not be missed if you are cycling or walking through Elburg. The most famous windmill type in the Netherlands. Windmills were used not only to produce flour from cereals, but also to reclaim polder areas. Natural energy. The most famous windmills can be found in Kinderdijk, really set up as a polder model. A must see!

Before the Second World War, a few dozen Jews lived in Elburg. Half of them did not survive the war. A monument can be found in the cemetery for these victims.

The Grote Kerk is the most important church in the city of Elburg. The four Evangelists can be seen on the gable stone. The characteristic tower without a spire, took its shape when the spire burned down after a lightning strike in 1693.
Gruithuis
The Gruithuis is the only remaining house in Elbrug that dates back to the time before the city was moved. The Historical Association Arent thoe Boecop is also located in this building. This association is named after the rentor who, on behalf of the Duke of Gelre, oversaw the relocation of Elburg.
