Description
With this route you will make a beautiful trip through the vast Kempen nature. In the Leenderbos you will have no trouble enjoying the silence and the natural beauty. The forest is mainly planted with Scots pines that were once intended for mining timber. You will also see beautiful fens, such as the Kraanvennen. The name reminds of the time when cranes still lived there. Take a break above Valkenswaard at Wandelpark! On the Groote Heide you will also cycle past tranquil fens. Beautiful place to stop for a moment. In the picturesque hamlet of Leenderstrijp you will see several monumental old long-façade farms. You will still experience the atmosphere of times gone by, get off for a moment to look around! From the Kapelstraat you can view the beautiful Sint-Janskapel from 1843.
