Round Greetings: eight polder and sea

After a tour through the polder and along the forest edge of the Schoorlse Duinen, you walk back into Groet. On the Kerkbrink you will see the Witte Kerkje from 1639. After lunch at your starting point, you will continue walking into the Schoorlse Duinen. The dunes are among the widest and highest in the Netherlands. The forest was created in the nineteenth century because the residents of nearby Schoorl wanted to prevent their village from disappearing under the drifting sand. Just before you cross the Hargerstrandweg you have a beautiful view over the dunes to the sea from the Camperduin viewpoint. You walk back straight through the dunes.
