Midwolda Tour: Oldambtmeer and Ennemaborg

After an overnight stay at Hoeve Witteborg, you put on your walking shoes. First, you walk along the Ennemaborg, the history of this country house goes back to the fourteenth century. On a quiet path you walk along the Oldambtmeer. You have a beautiful view of the rippling water and the flowery grasslands on the other side of the path. On the other side lies Blauwestad, just like the lake it was constructed in the late eighties on former agricultural land to combat unemployment. In the beautiful Midwolda you see a hall church with a beautiful spire from 1738. On the roof there are still four spires, they refer to the four towers of the old, demolished church. You can also see several former small farms and manor farms on the Hoofdweg.
