Explore the Valleilijn railway line on foot. This multi-day walking route takes you from Amersfoort station to Ede-Wageningen station. Along the way, you'll pass the highlights of the area. Think of Amersfoort's historic city center with the Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren (Our Lady's Tower), the tranquil nature reserve between Amersfoort and Hoevelaken with its meadows, reed beds, and swamp forests, the natural beauty of the Gelderse Vallei, and the charming town center of Barneveld. The final stretch of the route runs from Lunteren to Ede. Along the way, you'll pass various windmills, country houses, the Dutch Poultry Museum, and other beautiful sights. At the end of your walk, you'll arrive at Ede-Wageningen station, where you can easily catch the train home and savor the memories of this multi-day hike as the landscape races by.
