Cycling along Ridderkerk and Kinderdijk

This typical Dutch route starts in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht at De Heeren van Ambacht. This restaurant is located in a monumental farm. As if you are in your own living room, that is how you feel in this brasserie and wine bar. Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht you leave for the Waalbos and follow the contours of the Waal. Via Ridderkerk you cross over to Kinderdijk, you must have cycled here at least once! The sustainable collaboration between nature and technology in the polders of Kinderdijk is so unique and valuable that the entire area is now on the UNESCO World Heritage List. You will not find a mill complex like Unesco World Heritage Kinderdijk anywhere else. Then you cycle through the polders around Streefkerk, Bleskensgraaf and Oud-Alblas. Along the way you will encounter many more mills. It doesn't get more Dutch than this!
